Sandbag Slam

It takes about 20 seconds for her to get into it, but here is one very creative use for a bag full of sand. The sandbag slam. Basically you pick it up, shoulder or rack it briefly wherever you are able, and then slam it back down to the ground.

 

I generally do these with a couple of 50 lb bags tucked into a duffel bag that I’ve duct-taped heavily to keep the sand inside. Sometimes I let go at the bottom and reset, depending on how heavy it is. Sometimes if I go lighter I just try to see how many reps I can do.

And sometimes I just want to see how fast I can move, or how much weight I can lift.
