Skipping Stones – World Record

by Kilo on June 14, 2011

This is Russell Byars, owner of the world record for skipping stones since 2007. He throws the stone and it skips 51 times.

I know this isn’t exactly what you’re used to on Strength Rules, but it made me smile.

I would predict that my own attempts at stone skipping all fall well below 10 hops across the water.

And according to Wikipedia there’s a stone skipping championship every year in Scotland, but you go for distance instead of trying to rack up an immense number of skips.

Anyone want to go? We can stop in and lift the Dinnie stones on the way.

K.
