Yeah. That’s not for the faint of heart. Or the faint of…anything. The sad thing is that this guy has a huge number of Internet detractors. Probably a lot fewer face-to-face detractors, for obvious reasons.

A few months back, it seemed as if there were a lot of people making snide remarks about this lifter underperforming during the big competitions. I follow the threads, since much of this appears to be mean-spirited nonsense spread by people who couldn’t put their bodyweight overhead with the aid of a forklift. Just qualifying for an Olympic lifting competition makes a person 700.5% more studly than average, so I certainly would never hate on any of them.
…I should say that I DIDN’T follow the threads…
