Behind The Back Deadlift

The behind the back deadlift is another one that looks and feel pretty strange, compared to what most people are used to. Deadlifts are getting to be a pretty rare sight in most gyms, and this variation is rarer still.

I began experimenting with these during a time when any serious spinal flexion was bothering a rib that was moving around too much. By putting my arms behind me and pulling I was able to tighten it up quickly.
